Flint attorney Rick Hetherington graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Rick chose to pursue a career in law enforcement. Rick retired as a sergeant in 2011 and continued his pursuit of justice by becoming an attorney. Serving as an officer for 23 years, approximately 15 of which were in an investigative capacity, Rick is no stranger to the criminal justice system.

After graduating from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Rick was immediately hired by the law firm of CFlegal, PC., and is now a partner in the firm with Attorney Craig Fiederlein. Rick is an admitted member of the State Bar of Michigan and is active in the criminal law, real property, and cannabis law sections, and serves as a representative of the Character and Fitness Committee, ensuring that future lawyers meet the requirements to practice in our state. Rick is an active member of the Genesee County Bar Association where he is the former chairman of the marijuana law committee. He is also sworn in to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
